I've received unexpected financial gains

Gabrielle Orr absolutely transformed my office at the University. Every department member who enters my door usually says something like, “Oh, I just love your office!” or “It’s so peaceful in here…” Because the change was so dramatic, a few people asked me if I painted the walls, and some of them don’t believe me when I tell them “no.” The fountain in my financial corner is a wonderful addition because it filters the noise from conversations in the hall. As a matter of routine, I now add scented oil to the fountain, which is something my visitors also enjoy. Gaby placed mirrors on the bottom of my door frame to dispel negative energy, and I must say that it’s worked like magic. People seem to feel supported and calm when they enter my door; part-time teachers who had been “difficult” in the past have chosen to quit. After Gaby donated a palm to my “helpful people” corner, our program received funding from the college for a mentoring program, hired a wonderful new employee to our staff, and has been aided by volunteers who bring energy and creativity to our program's goals. As a bonus to the personal satisfaction of being more productive in a beautiful environment, I can honestly say that I’ve received some impressive unexpected financial gains. The department told me two months before that they could not fund my trip to a national conference in New York even though I was scheduled to present a paper. Within a few weeks of the feng shui consultation, I received notice that my supervisor in the department had not given up on my request and, as a result, funding had been approved—and not just for a portion of it, but for the entire trip, including plane fare, airport parking, and hotel. I also received an unexpected and very generous check for an inheritance of $7,300 from my stepfather as well as an offer to teach ongoing creative writing workshops, which has been a dream of mine for a long time. In addition to making changes in my office according to the principles of feng shui, I made the conscious choice to improve my office, my work, and my life. Overall, feng shui supported my choices and produced positive results that I continue to see and feel; it’s not just a matter of moving furniture—it’s creating a positive flow of energy.
