As I am watching the last game of the NBA (National Basketball Association) Championship, where the Miami Heat is playing against the San Antonio Spurs, I am fascinated by the players mental focus, seemingly never ending endurance and sacrifices made. The work effort of each individual athlete is astonishing to me, as I realize that I would never push myself to my physical limits with so much dedication, for the sake of a game.
As I am following the game with excitement, wishing for Miami to win this championship for the second year in a row, I realize that even with all this dedication, training, focus and talent, a higher power is present. Neither team is the better on this basketball court. The Spurs are one of the best teams I have ever seen playing. They are fair, play with such class, camaraderie and professionalism, that I can only ask one question:
“What is the real lesson here to learn?”
Viewed from our souls perspective, what are we really meant to learn when we win or lose in life? When we move through our physical experiences, which tend to leave us feeling enriched or deprived, we will come to a point where we want to find happiness in the deeper meaning of life.
As I am sharing my thoughts with my Akashic Records they reply,
“Who are you becoming in the process of winning or losing?
Does winning, or losing, make you a kinder more loving person? Will this encourage you to live more in the moment, or are you already worried about tomorrow again?
Does it create arrogance and aloofness within you? Can you recognize that this too shall pass, both the winning and the losing?”
While we move through life, experiencing our own private championships or defeats, we are asked to look inside for answers and return to that what makes us truly happy, the love we can feel within. Can we allow ourselves to feel love rather than arrogance, aloofness, superior, inferior, anger or resentment?
I am willing to push myself to my limits with this endeavor. I am dedicated to find love in all that is, that’s why my “God loves Basketball”, because all I can see is love.
My love goes out to the Miami Heat Team, the new NBA Champion, as well as to the San Antonio Spurs for being the fairest and best opponent ever. My love goes out to the fans who celebrate, Caribbean Style, with pots and pans, since days on the streets of Miami. It is a pleasure to watch so much excitement happening. Thank you all for bringing out the love in me.
As always, with much Love
